So we all have that one holy grail foundation, amirite?!

Maybe you have multiple, maybe you have yet to find it. I wanted to spotlight a few of my favourite foundations, both old and new. Why I love them and how I use them.

First up …

Laura Mercier - Flawless Lumiere Radiance Perfection Foundation

The Low down;

A Radiance-perfecting foundation that looks good in any light. Vitamin C boosts skin’s luminosity, revealing brighter, clearer and more even toned skin over time - so even without makeup, your skin is naturally luminous. Skin appears more even and the apperance of dark spots are reduced after 4 weeks of use.

Provides a medium to full buildablle coverage & a naturally luminious finish. Ideal for all skin types but specifically normal and dry skin types. Also said to provide 15 hours of moisture.

Okay, my thoughts on this foundation. It its beautiful on the skin. I have a dryer skin type, it does not cling to dry areas and It leaves my skin looking and feeling really hydrated. While it does give a nice medium coverage it feels very light and airy on the skin. It has the most beautiful luminious finish without being overly dewy. I find that it wears very well throughout the day. I may need to touch up areas like my chin, because as my natural oils surface that is one area that tends to become too luminous for my liking. I have not loved a foundation like this in quite some time.

I have worn this on its own to experience the fuller coverage effect. It builds well and applies like a dream with a dense buffing brush. It also wears well when I cut it with a moisturizer for a more sheer application.

while I love the way it applies with a brush it also delivers a great coverage applied with a damp beauty blender.

It is available in 30 shades and retails for $60.00/CAD 30ml
