There is a faint hint of fall in the air and I'm not even mad about it. Give me all the over sized sweaters and scarves.
Before I change over my wardrobe and swap out my summer makeup routine for my fall one, I wanted to give some love to some amazing summer makeup essentials from Pixi. I have been utilizing these over the warmer months but will absolutely carry them through into the cooler months
Nourishing Lip Polish
A hydrating lip exfoliator that soothes and moisturizes the lips. It has an innovative massaging applicator that stimulates circulation.
I love this lip polish. I often have dry lips, basically throughout the year. This massaging tip exfoliates and eliminates dryness. It is clear in colour, so it pairs well under or over lipstick or lipgloss. It is not stick or tacky and super comfortable to wear.
A multiuse, crème to powder formula. This 2-in-1 cheek and lip color is so user friendly. It offers a very natural tint to the skin, creating a flushed look. It wears well over foundation and sets to a matte finish.
I have been applying this with my finger tips and patting it onto the apples of my cheeks or applying with a stippling brush
Offered in a range of five shades;
Makeup Fixing Mist
An All-over setting spray for Longer-wearing makeup. Infused with Rosewater and Green tea to hydrate the skin.
I love this makeup mist. While I don't think it really aids in prolonging the wear of my makeup, it definitely hydrates my skin. I apply both before my makeup application and after. It gives my skin a dewy finish and keeps my skin extra hydrated which helps to keep my foundation from separating or flaking in the areas of my skin that are typically dryer.
It does have a very floral scent to it, so if you are not a fan of Roses I would not recommend this to you.
If you are looking for a mist to add a dewy finish to the skin, or to add hydration, I would give this one a try!
Quick Fix Powder
Invisible and lightweight translucent powder. Said to give the skin a velvet matte finish and an air-brushed look.
I'm always on the hunt for a great setting powder. I typically turn to no colour powders just because they don't tend to look as chalky on the skin, or give off a white tint when photographed.
However for personal use I'm open to trying translucent powders.
I have been using this to set my under eye area or areas on the skin where my foundation tends to shift. I do find on my skin it is quite drying. It does create a chalky finish and I would worry about this being used with flash photography.
If you have more of an oily skin and are not worried about being photographed you may have better luck with this powder. It was just not for me.
It is paired with a puff applicator which Is ideal for travel or taking this on the go.
